GEORGEFEST 2016 - 114TH ANNUAL CELEBRATION

DATE:  February 26th - 28th

DESCRIPTION:  EUSTIS, Florida – 2016 marks the 114^th consecutive annual celebration of GeorgeFest, the 2nd oldest festival celebrating George Washington’s Birthday in the nation and the longest running festival of any kind in Florida.  Sponsored by the Lake Eustis Chamber of Commerce and our proud partner, the City of Eustis, the festival is an important piece of living, local history. The theme of this year’s festival is “Proud to be an American” and is scheduled for February  26th – 28th.

ACTIVITIES:

In the weeks leading to the festival, several activities will be offered, including:

• February 13, 2016 – Running with the Georges 5k
This is the 2nd Annual Running of the Georges 5k Run with a portion of the proceeds to benefit our local schools & charities.
