With the Fourth of July coming up, we know many Central Florida homeowners are looking for ideas on how to spend the holiday in and around the area they call home. If the big day is getting closer and you have no plans, don’t worry—for today’s blog, we’ve compiled several events going on nearby that you may want to choose from.

Tavares: Celebrating the American Dream

Local Lake County residents will have no problem getting to this celebration in Tavares! You can help celebrate the American dream by attending the annual parade, dancing with family and friends, and enjoying live music before the fireworks start at nine p.m. You can even get the kids involved with tot-sized rides and face painting! This event kicks off at three p.m. Visit Tavares.org to find out more details.

Leesburg: Fourth of July Celebration at Venetian Garden

Another nearby destination, Leesburg’s celebration promises to be a great one for the whole family. Starting at six p.m., you will be able to enjoy dancing, baseball, and activities for the little ones, all culminating in a large fireworks display over scenic Venetian Garden.

Lake Buena Vista: Walt Disney World July Fourth Celebrations

Whether you have young kids or are just a Disney fanatic at heart, spending the Fourth of July at Walt Disney World might just be the best idea yet! Fourth of July celebrations will be taking place on the 3rd and 4th, both in the parks and in Downtown Disney, the out-of-park entertainment complex.

Orlando: Fireworks at the Fountain

If you’re near Orlando but don’t necessarily want to visit the theme parks, take part in the city’s Fireworks at the Fountain. From four p.m. through ten, visitors are welcome to gather around Orlando’s scenic Lake Eola for food, games, music, and—a little later on—a great fireworks show. With its unique location within downtown Orlando, Lake Eola is an especially great spot to watch the traditional fireworks with family and friends.

Winter Springs: Celebration of Freedom

Visit Central Winds Park for one of the best firework displays around! Located in Winter Springs, the Celebration of Freedom will include live music, contests and activities, and fireworks over beautiful Lake Jesup. One of the largest lakes in the Central Florida area, Lake Jesup offers the perfect backdrop for a big patriotic display.

Mount Dora: Freedom on the Waterfront

Very close to home, we have the Mount Dora Freedom on the Waterfront. The fun starts July 3rd at six p.m., when visitors can enjoy live music and fireworks at Elizabeth Evans Park. The following day, head to Donnelly Street to watch the annual Fourth of July parade pass through our city’s streets. The parade will also feature an patriotic, interactive salute to our country, so you don’t want to miss it!

Do you have a tried-and-true Fourth of July tradition, or maybe a favorite place to celebrate? Let us know in the comments! And be sure to celebrate the story of our country with family, neighbors and friends this holiday.

Happy 4th of July to you and your family
Thank you for posting all that happenings in your area. I enjoy your writing. I live in Rhode Island, the state that has the oldest 4th of July parade. I have had the honor of being in it three times. It is definitely a different view from the floats. I felt like the mayor. The town of Bristol begins there celebration a week prior with concerts, Drum & Bugle competitions and more. A carnival comes to town for the kids. My husband grew up in Bristol. His sister was even Ms. 4th of July one year. No matter where we are in America May we all have a safe and joyous holiday celebrating our Independence.
